Tip #1: Find a good realtor - ask us for our marketing plan

  • Ask for market information for the area you are selling in,   make notes on each home & keep them in a file... when a price is reduced you will have it handy to refer to.  When it is sold, you have a comparable to your property.
We make sure that you become an expert in your price range and area of homes prior to you selling a property.

You will be informed to make decisions based on todays market conditions.  Take a snapshot of today's market.

Things to look for in a good realtor...

  1. It costs no more to use a good realtor over a low producing part time realtor.
  2. Most homes are sold with realtors in North America, we are trained to bring in our commission over your net proceeds... why would you ignore the biggest buying power in North America.... the MLS system.
We have award winning production that shows for years in different market conditions in the top ten and have many satisfied clients. Lyle and I have experience, and have many loyal clients to thank for our success.
  3. When choosing a company...did you know that Royal LePage. . .
    • is a national company, referral network of Royal LePage Relocations for military, RCMP and other national organizations,
    • in our area, sells 51% of its own listings without any assistance from other companies
    • has the largest number of realtors and 3 locations to serve the public including displays of your property
Tip #2:  De-clutter your home/property..."clutter is not your friend"
  • The front of your home, drive way and entry way must be clutter free - first impressions count
  • Take down half of your artwork on the walls, no shoes by front door
  • no magnets on the fridge, less on the kitchen counters, fresh neutral linens & drapes.
Curtains have a 10 year lifespan, they can pick up smells, fade in sun...we prefer no curtains over dated curtains
  • go through closets, they should open and close with less clutter,  bedroom areas and family rooms
put excess clutter in one room with door closed, garage or better yet a storage locker
Tip #3:  Get your home ready to shine...

leave the lights on for viewing appointments

  • ensure all the light bulbs are working and have high watts, we prefer clear ones- a home will sparkle and appear cleaner
Tip #4: Most buyers prefer that the home is empty during viewings

  • go for a walk, coffee during the viewings as the buyers may want to have a visit with your home, sit on a couch, look in the yard.
