Bruce’s bio

Bruce is a FULL TIME Kelowna Real Estate Professional, serving his clients real estate needs since 1988, specializing in residential real estate.  He is well experienced in marketing and selling all types of Real Estate including high end real estate, acreage and equestrian property, executive estate homes, single detached residential houses, first time buyers needs, relocation's, foreclosed and distressed property sales, townhouses and condo’s.

Bruce started his real estate career in 1988,  has seen many changes in the Real Estate business, and has experienced all market conditions.  His work ethic, ability to adapt to market change while embracing leading edge technology, has resulted in a successful career spanning over two decades.  His involvement in about 1000 real estate transactions puts him at the top in the experience category.  Realtors will know the awards he has achieved with RE/MAX, the coveted  "RE/MAX Hall Of Fame Award"  being one of them.

In addition to a Real Estate License, Bruce also has his Broker’s License, which legally permits him to own or manage a Real Estate office.  His Real Estate experience involves both selling and Management, the latter as the Sales Manager for a leading Fraser Valley Real Estate firm.

Bruce devotes his full time attention to serving the Real Estate needs of his clients here in Kelowna, whether they be Sellers or Buyers.

Bruce recently served on the RE/MAX Group Advertising Committee in charge of approving and allocating advertising funds and advertising campaigns for RE/MAX of Western Canada.

Unlike some in the industry today...
Bruce is a FULL TIME Realtor.

He devotes his full time attention to the needs of his clients  24/7.

Bruce Dougall... a name you can trust,  the results you want,  the service you deserve.

Outside of his Real Estate career,  his hobbies are music,  digital photography,  and horses, (being a former equestrian centre owner).

With music, he is a professional level trumpet player.  He started his music passion in full time music ministry with 'Living Sound' from Tulsa Oklahoma along with Don Moen and (the Late) Larry Dalton in the 70’s, two well known names in Gospel music.  Since then, he has played with numerous groups doing mainly lead trumpet playing with Big Band Jazz groups in the Vancouver BC area.  He is a former member of the Canadian Forces Reserves playing First Trumpet with the 15th Field Artillery Regiment Band.  From local small venues,  doing pit orchestra work,  live musical theatre,  some symphonic performances,  to traveling with Bill Gaither in the early 80's… Bruce has been part of the music scene for decades.  He is also the former instrumental director of a Gospel Music group called Daystar.   He has worked on many CD projects as a music consultant, assistant engineer,  and studio player.

His first love is Gospel Music.  His plan for his newest CD: “What A Gig That Will Be” was to compile a group of tunes that were well known so the listener could immediately identify with.   The charts were written and played in a Big Band Style using all real instruments and a full string section.  Real instruments? ....a rare thing today in recorded music.  With the musical magic of Larry Dalton’s writing and arranging,  Bruce’s CD became a reality.

On the CD, Bruce plays a custom, hand made trumpet he bought from Doc Severinsen.  His Flugelhorn, also played on the CD, was custom made for him by Tony Scodwell in Las Vegas, Doc's former lead trumpet player and road manager.   Bruce's CD won 'Instrumental Album of the Year' in Canada in 2008, in the Gospel Music category.  An award that Bruce is most thankful for and a high light in his music life.

Bruce currently plays Lead Trumpet with Kelowna's:

Blues Brothers Too Review Band,

The Dreamland Stage Band,

The Michael Garding Big Band,

The Crossfire Big Band,

Kettle Valley Brass Quintet

Wind Ensemble from the Okanagan Symphony,

and is the current VP of the Kelowna City Concert Band.

For every Real Estate transaction that is referred to Bruce from the members and friends of the City Concert Band, Bruce donates ~$1000.00 to the City Concert Band!
So far in 2011, he has donated $4,000.
His goal is to personally fund 100% of the band's annual expenses through this innovative referral program.

Bruce is an active supporter of the Arts in Kelowna.

This photo was taken by my wife who is a Professional Real Estate Photographer, now expanding her craft to portraits.
Her work was featured at the famous Okanagan Art Walk in Lake Country this summer.

This photo shows me with a new trumpet I received this year as a gift from my good friend Leroy Duncan in Oklahoma.
"Leroy....I cannot thank you enough.  I love this horn!"
